Rimba Partikel Indonesia (RPI), in collaboration with Sumitomo Forestry (Dalian) Trading Co., Ltd., issues the following clarification regarding promotional and sales activities of our particleboard products carried out by customers in China.
Unauthorized Use of “Sumitomo” or “Sumitomo Forestry” in Commercial Promotions
We hereby emphasize that no sales agent has been authorized by either RPI or Sumitomo Forestry (Dalian) Trading Co., Ltd. to use trade names such as “Sumitomo,” “Sumitomo Forestry,” or any similar commercial terms in the promotion or sale of our particleboard products. Any use of these names in promotional materials without approval constitutes a violation of trademark rights and may mislead consumers.
Repeated Violations Despite Official Notices
We have repeatedly notified relevant parties through official channels regarding this policy. Unfortunately, some sales agents continue to publish promotional content online that falsely associates our products with the Sumitomo brand, creating a misleading impression of official endorsement.
To provide clear understanding, we have included screenshots of such unauthorized advertisements. These images show public promotional activity conducted without consent from either RPI or Sumitomo Forestry.
Unauthorized Promotions Are Invalid
RPI and Sumitomo Forestry (Dalian) Trading Co., Ltd. do not authorize or recognize any promotional advertisements lacking official approval. We will not guarantee the quality or performance of products sold through these unauthorized channels.
We hereby declare that RPI and Sumitomo accept no responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from purchases made through these unauthorized promotions. Consumers assume all risks when dealing with unofficial sales agents.
